Sanding Set

Description: The Sanding Set is designed to shape your objects with millimeter precision. Ideal for working with resin, this set includes net discs that promote dust extraction and ensure an excellent finish.

Set Composition:

  • ABRANET 150mm Grip P120: Disc with grit 120 for initial work and removal of larger imperfections.
  • ABRANET 150mm Grip P240: Disc with grit 240 for intermediate sanding and preparation for the next phase.
  • ABRANET 150mm Grip P320: Disc with grit 320 for a finer, more uniform finish.
  • ABRANET 150mm Grip P400: Disc with grit 400 for additional finishing and preparation for polishing.

Instructions for Use:

  1. Preparation: Start by moistening the surface to be worked on with a bit of water.
  2. Sand with the Coarsest Disc: Use the grit 120 disc to remove the larger imperfections and give your object an initial shape.
  3. Progress to Finer Grits: Move on to the 240, 320, and finally 400 grit discs, ensuring to rinse and clean the surface between each disc to avoid abrasions from residual particles.
  4. Polishing: After using the highest grit disc, apply a polishing paste like 3M Gelcoat by hand using a cloth. Move slowly and evenly across the entire surface. Then, use a clean, dry cloth to remove any residue and achieve a smooth, shiny finish.

Note:

  • If you desire a satin finish, avoid using the Gelcoat and rinse the surface with plenty of water. For optimal results, you can apply Osmo Satin Hard Wax Oil.

Tips:

  • Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying the Gelcoat or Hard Wax Oil.
  • Use the discs in ascending order of grit to achieve a uniform and high-quality finish.

This set is perfect for anyone looking to achieve a smooth and well-finished surface on their resin projects!
