Usage Instructions & Technical Tips
Mix Preparation
-
Mix ratio: Combine Part A (translucent) and Part B (translucent) in a 1:1 ratio by weight.
Example: For 100 g of Part A, add exactly 100 g of Part B. -
Use a precision scale to ensure accuracy.
-
Mixing container: Use a clean, dry, and grease-free container.
-
Mixing technique: Stir slowly with a clean spatula, scraping the sides and bottom for a homogeneous mixture.
Important: Mix slowly to prevent air bubbles.
Mold Pouring
-
Model preparation: Ensure the model is clean, dry, and dust-free. Apply a release agent if needed.
-
Pouring technique: Pour the silicone slowly from one fixed point, allowing it to flow naturally into the mold and fill all details.
-
Degassing (optional): For intricate molds, use a vacuum chamber to remove air bubbles before pouring.
Curing Times & Conditions
-
Working time (WT): 30–40 minutes at 25°C – ideal for pouring and correcting imperfections.
Mold Removal & Maintenance
-
Demolding: After full cure, gently remove the model. Pure Mold silicone’s flexibility helps preserve fine details and edges.
-
Cleaning: Wash the mold with warm water and mild soap.
-
Storage: Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
-
Preservation: Apply a protective silicone oil after each use to extend mold life.
Additional Recommendations
-
Recommended thicknesses:
- Small molds: at least 5 mm to prevent tearing
- Large molds: use a rigid plaster or resin support mold for extra stability -
Compatible materials:
Epoxy resin, polyurethane, plaster, cement, wax, soap, and other solid materials -
Limitations:
Not suitable for use above +250°C or with aggressive chemicals incompatible with silicone.
