Glass Microbeads are additives to be used in addition to multipurpose epoxy resin in order to obtain optimal compounds with different characteristics.
Perfect to create self-levelling compounds and fillers.
These Glass Microbeads feature low moisture absorption and therefore they are great to use for applications above and below the waterline. Glass Microbeads are required to obtain a range of fillers with low specific weight and easy to sand, the consistency of which is variable depending on the needs of the user. The product is ideal for filling horizontal cracks and small surface imperfections, for grouts, for smoothing and for filleting.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Before using “Transparent” Multipurpose Epoxy Resin (Resin Pro), make sure that the surface to be treated is completely dry and free of moisture. If you’re working with wood, it must always be clean, dry and free of oils and/or naphtha, etc. Furthermore, it is important to remember to sand the surfaces well before applying the product.
APPLICATION: Glass Microbeads should be added to “Transparent” Multipurpose Epoxy Resin (Resin Pro) only after carefully mixing component A with component B in 100:60 ratio (on weight).
Through mixing, we can obtain three different types of compounds to be used in various cases:
- Liquid compound: Mix 2 parts of catalysed “Transparent” Multipurpose Epoxy Resin (Resin Pro) + 1 part of Glass Microbeads for a liquid self-levelling compound ideal for filling horizontal cracks or for gluing.
- Filling compound: Mix 1 part of catalysed “Transparent” Multipurpose Epoxy Resin (Resin Pro) + 1 part of Glass Microbeads for a semi-liquid compound to be used as a filler for small surface imperfections and smoothing.
- Filler: Mix 1 part of catalysed “Transparent” Multipurpose Epoxy Resin (Resin Pro) + 3 parts of Glass Microbeads for a filler applicable also on thick layers.
