Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Lay out a plastic sheet to protect the work surface. Make sure the silicone mould is clean and all materials are within reach. Don’t forget to wear disposable gloves and follow the safety instructions.
2. Mix the epoxy following the Art Pro 100:66 mixing ratio (by weight) – 318 g of A and 210 g of B – for a casting thickness of 5 mm. Weigh and mix both components thoroughly for 3 minutes, making sure all sides and bottom of the mixing container are encompassed for effective mixing. Let the mixture sit for 2-3 minutes.
3. Divide the mixed resin into separate containers for each colour you plan to use. Add resin dyes to each container to achieve the desired shades. Mix thoroughly. In a separate container, add the gold pigment powder to a small portion of resin. Mix well to evenly distribute the pigment.
4. Layer the colours into one large container without mixing them, allowing them to stack on top of each other. Pour this layered mixture into the mould for a dynamic, abstract effect.
5. Let the resin sit for at least 15 hours. After this time, assess the condition of the resin by gently tapping on the mould. Only when the resin is partially hardened but still maintains a slight softness can you proceed to unmould it carefully: proceed gently to avoid damaging the work of art.

6. After unmoulding the casting, you should have a solid but slightly flexible piece. You can now shape the vase using one of the following methods: 1) Place the casting in a deep bowl and gently press it into the bowl to shape the sides of the pot. 2) If you want your pot to have uneven folds, take a jar or similar item and wrap it with plastic wrap or a plastic bag. Gently “coat” the object with the partially hardened casting, carefully making the folds.
7. Place the shaped jar inside the bowl or around the object used for shaping in a safe place, allowing it to cure completely over the next 12 to 24 hours. During this time, the resin will harden and become more stiff.
If the resin has hardened too much and is no longer mouldable, put it in very hot water for 5 minutes, it will become soft and malleable again.
