Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Lay out a plastic sheet to protect the work surface. Make sure the silicone mould is clean and all materials are within reach. Don’t forget to wear disposable gloves and follow the safety instructions.
2. Mix the epoxy following the 100:66 (by weight) mixing ratio, e.g., 50 g of A and 33 g of B. Weigh and mix both components thoroughly for 3 minutes, making sure all sides and bottom of the mixing container are encompassed for effective mixing. Let the mixture sit for 2-3 minutes.
3. Carefully pour the mixed epoxy into the hemispheres of the silicone mould. Select an alcohol colour (except white) and make several drops on the surface of the resin. Next, add several drops of white ink in the same places where you applied the coloured inks. The white ink, being thicker, will sink into the pour, grabbing the colored inks as it descends. This creates incredible patterns within the resin, similar to the effect of the petri dish.
4. Repeat the process using other ink colours along with white. This will allow you to showcase a vibrant range of colours, making your creation truly striking and unique. Use a small gas torch (to be carefully and gently passed over the surface of the resin) to remove any remaining air bubbles and create a smooth finish. Leave the casting in a dust-free environment for 24 to 48 hours.

5. Once the resin is fully cured, gently remove the items from the silicone mould. Your Petri artworks, with their eye-catching effects, are now ready to be displayed, used as jewellery, or given as unique and artistic gifts.
