High-Performance One-Component Polyurethane Resin
Description: This high-performance polyurethane resin is the perfect binder for white or light-colored pebbles. Formulated to ensure impeccable results in a variety of applications, it features high gloss and transparency along with low viscosity, guaranteeing a flawless, transparent finish free of air bubbles. Ideal for creating high-quality, durable permeable flooring solutions.
Consumption Guide for Pebble Binder:
Consider these indicative data for using polyurethane resin with white and light pebbles:
- 7-10 mm Pebbles: Add 500 g of polyurethane resin for every 20-25 kg of pebbles.
- 4-6 mm Pebbles: Add 650 g of polyurethane resin for every 20-25 kg of pebbles.
- 2-4 mm Pebbles: Add 800 g of polyurethane resin for every 20-25 kg of pebbles.
- 1-2 mm Pebbles: Add 1.2 kg of polyurethane resin for every 20-25 kg of pebbles.
Note: It is crucial to verify the required amount of binder before application. Excess binder can lead to swelling and foaming. The correct amount is just enough to lightly coat the surface of the pebbles without causing overflow. If you have any doubts, please contact our support team!
These consumption figures are calculated based on the standard packaging of pebbles, approximately 20-25 kg per bag.
Primer:
For enhanced adhesion, use the transparent epoxy resin as a primer for your surfaces: apply 150-200 g/m² using a simple roller. To ensure optimal grip immediately after application, sprinkle with quartz sand.
Resistance:
The resin offers excellent mechanical performance, ensuring that the pebbles bond perfectly together with extraordinary resistance to yellowing.
Key Features:
- High Transparency: Ensures a clear and glossy finish.
- Excellent Mechanical Strength: Provides durability for various applications.
- Good Chemical Resistance: Protects against carbonation and environmental factors.
- High Impregnation: Reinforces technical fabrics effectively.
- Long Workability: Allows ample time for application.
- Self-Leveling Surface: Ensures an even finish.
- UV Resistance: Protects against yellowing for long-lasting results.
- Low Viscosity: Reduces the presence of air bubbles after curing and aids in fiber impregnation.
Odorless and Solvent-Free: The formula is perfectly transparent and does not incorporate air bubbles.
Catalysis Time:
Full catalysis is achieved in approximately 24 hours.
Surface Preparation:
- Apply on solid, compact, dry substrates not subject to rising dampness.
- Surfaces should be clean and free of oils and fats.
- Treatment may involve sandblasting or grinding followed by dust removal.
- Alternatively, a cementitious underlayment or epoxy screed is recommended.
- Use an appropriate primer as specified in application data sheets.
Product Usage:
- Mix the product with colored or monochromatic mineral aggregates of any granulation, using manual (low-speed drill with a mixing blade) or automatic mixing (concrete mixer).
- To achieve maximum chemical and mechanical resistance, ensure that the aggregates are free of oils or fats and moisture.
- The ratio of aggregate to binder depends on the shape, size, and porosity of the aggregate, as follows:
- 40:1 for 4-6 mm aggregate
- 20:1 for 2-4 mm aggregate
- 16:1 for 1-2 mm aggregate
Note: Verify the required amount of binder before application to avoid excess that could cause swelling and foaming. The correct amount of binder is just enough to lightly coat the surface of the aggregate without overflow.
Spread the resulting mixture using trowels or rakes and compact it with a smooth plastic float or mechanical vibratory compactor for large areas.
